Yesenia Beas Ramirez
Academic Counselor/Tutor
Yesenia was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; grew up in Guadalupe, California; and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in psychology and a minor in childhood studies. She plans to become an academic counselor for college students with a focus in career counseling. During her two years at Allan Hancock College, she became involved with student government and served as president of the DREAM Club and student trustee on the community college board of trustees. Along with peers, she successfully fought to create a DREAM Center on campus. At Cal Poly she was a resident advisor for housing. Yesenia also works as a community organizer for Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy.

Ian Cummings
Project Director
Ian taught college preparatory classes in English, Spanish, and history for over twenty years at Midland School, a boarding high school in Los Olivos, CA, where he lives with his wife, a college counselor and writing teacher, and two children. He earned his BA from Stanford University and his MA in educational leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Irvin Martin
Tutor
After graduating from Whitworth University with a BA in business management and a minor in French, Irvin delved into the educational realm, primarily teaching French, Spanish, and ESL. His experience involves working with students from both independent and public schools in the US and abroad, including his latest endeavor, teaching in China for the last six years. He is excited for the opportunity to support and advise LoyalTeach students in their academic journeys.
